Friends, do not use Animal Dental Clinic in Vienna, VA. A friend, and it seems many others, lost a beloved pet to sepsis due to unsanitary practices there. The dental vet was found at fault and fined, but is still practicing. Do not lose your furbaby family due to negligence. Stay away from this lication.

We came to Animal Dental Clinic after our dog Dillon was injured during a tooth cleaning from our primary vet. He and his team were kind, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the ordeal. They performed a full-mouth extraction, including a return for all of the broken roots left in Dillons mouth after our primary vet left them in (in several cases without informing us, as it turns out). Ultimately surgical intervention did not help, as Dr. Hall cautioned it might not, but we wanted to leave this positive review from a patient who was not cured overnight. Dr. Hall and his team were extremely responsive to our questions, patiently explained the reasoning for courses of treatment in a way that even other veterinary dental specialists in the region did not. If you can take one lesson from us do not trust dental procedures to the big-box vets. The cost difference of these annual subscriptions is negligible and the damage done over time was breathtaking. We will take all of our future pets to Dr. Hall only for dental exams and work.

DO NOT GO TO DR HALL. Our cat had a similar experience to Rachel Karp. We are lucky our cat is still with us.

I am not one to typically write reviews, but I do want to take the time to share my cats and my experience with the Animal Dental Clinic in Vienna, VA. From start to finish - arranging the appointment, coming in for a consult, major dental surgery (extraction of all teeth, which my referring veterinarian indicated would not be a surprise), the dental procedure itself, the follow-up, and the many communications and phone calls - Dr Hall and the staff have demonstrated both professionalism and expertise but have also been warm and compassionate, have invited and encouraged questions, have responded in a timely manner to my many phone calls, have extended walk-in hours for me to bring him in for extra follow-up visits I could go on and on. I will say that the days following the surgery were tough. Of course they were can you imagine waking up with no teeth? It took a lot of coaxing and trying many different things (with the help and advice of Dr. Hall and staff) to get him interested in food but now, just 2 weeks post-op, hes healing well, eating, and back to his playful self. I know Im anthropomorphizing, but I think hell soon forget he ever had teeth! And hes no longer in pain with dental disease. Thanks so much, Dr. Hall and staff, for the good work you do with our beloved furry companions.

Hi William and Marianne, I’m glad we have been able to help with Dillon. He has had some challenges, to say the least. Hopefully, with what Dr. Hall has already done and the ongoing care he is recommending, we can get Dillon to a healthy, pain-free place. He is such a sweet boy! Those big puppy-dog eyes and sweet soul of his deserve the best! Give him a hug from all of us.Respectfully,Cristal WheelerPractice Manager

Hy Randy, I am sorry you had a similar situation with Dexter. Unfortunately, he also did not wear his e-collar and opened the surgical sites after full mouth extractions. Luckily, Dr. Hall was able to put everything back together in a second surgery and Dexter has made a full recovery. Every recovery is a three-sided partnership: the clinic and staff, you (the owner), and our patient (Dexter). If any part of this partnership struggles, it can lead to complications post surgery. Respectfully,Cristal WheelerPractice Manager

Hi Arlene, I am so glad we could help Simba! Caudal mucositis (also called stomatitis) can be very painful. Cats can suffer with it for a long time without owners knowing about it since they hide it so well. Simba is an amazing kitty. I am glad he is pain-free! Let us know if there is every anything else we can do to help!Respectfully,Cristal Wheeler, Practice Manager
