Tl;Dr - DO NOT leave your brand image to this agency. They lack attention to detail in their work and can cause negative impact to your brand image.Gimga group ran a #mykimchistory contest on social media and made errors resulting in a negative brand image. My boyfriend and I entered the contest and the winners were determined by likes on FB and IG.Someone must have complained about the initial result because the actual first place winner was no longer in the running, hence they were required to choose another 3rd place winner. I watched the competition closely, especially the last day and we were in 4th considering the actual 1st place winner was still in the running. However, after the rankings were changed, I was not selected as the 3rd place winner. Another person with less total votes was. She had 150 and I had 177. Gimga's excuse was that the votes were counted 10/7 midnight ET. However, I knew that even before that, I was at at LEAST 80 on IG, 80 on FB. When asked for further proof, they simply dismissed it as "the winners were chosen based on the criteria" but the criteria only states total likes will determine the winner and if there's a tie or the winner doesn't respond, judges will determine based on other factors. However, there was no tie, so it should have been determined by likes count.Side note, I should have seen the writings on the wall as there may have been a favoritism to begin with-- one of the other contestant's video was shared by the kfoodinus account itself to the Fb New York foodies. Only that video was shared to the New York foodies group.If you're going to do a contest, do it RIGHT and don't make up BS and gaslight participants.
