Justin and his team are top tier when it comes to building in the Arlington area. They worked with me to design, manage and build a fantastic detach garage and made sure that I was included in every part of the process. The final product matched the idea that I had in my head and I am very pleased with the final result.

We worked with BOLT to redo the exterior of our home and re-build our exterior screened-in porches. Eddie was our project manager and was very communicative throughout the construction process. The age of our home and the size/location of our property presented numerous challenges, and Eddie worked with us to problem solve and implement the best solutions. Most impressively, if we found work that needed adjusting or fixing, Eddie made sure it was done right. We appreciated Eddie's frequent communication, straight-forwardness, and dedication to quality throughout the project.

After meeting with multiple builders for our renovation and addition project, we ended up selecting Bolt Builders. Their engagement during the contract phase was excellent and they worked with us to ensure that the contract was complete and accounted for our budget etc. They also worked well with our lender, which is a critical component if you plan to finance your project. These types of projects are large, lengthy, complex, and expensive. Throughout the entire process the Bolt team (Eddie, Justin, and Kevin) was an incredibly responsive and collaborative partner. For a large project like this, things will invariably be delayed or will need to be adjusted on the fly. In all these instances, Bolt was a great partner, working with us to resolve any issues that came up and to keep to the agreed timeline. Our project is now complete, and we are very happy with the final product. I would highly recommend them for your project and if we do decide to do any additional projects, they will be our first call.

Any renovation can be stressful but add in a Resource Protection Area and COVID and things get very tricky. Our experience with Bolt Builders had a few ups and downs, long permit wait, COVID price increases, unavailable selections but throughout the process, they communicated issues quickly, provided options, and worked to keep the project moving forward. They easily tackled our request for an open floorplan and open-tread, switch back stairs - a real showpiece in our home. Our renovation added a spacious kitchen and living room with wood-burning fireplace, a master bedroom suite, 2 ensuite bedrooms for our kids, a guest bedroom with adjacent bath, along with front and back porches with a screened-in section. Bolt Builders worked seamlessly with our architect and interior designer, and the Bolt Builders project manger provided weekly progress updates and regularly met with me on-site to discuss expectations at each phase of the project. Upon moving back into our home, Bolt Builders reminded us "no one has lived here, cooked a meal, taken a shower, spent the night, etc - as you get settled in, keep a list and we'll come back to fix and fine tune." True to their word, they repaired marks left by our movers, fixed a gap in the gutters revealed by heavy rain, fixed a few electrical issues, reordered/installed a window with a defect while working through their final punch list items. I would and have recommended Bolt Builders based on our positive experience, high quality workmanship and professional staff.

BOLT development group renovated our home in addition to building a two story deck. Justin and crew did a wonderful job throughout the entire project. He is super response and understands the DCRA process really well which made it easier and stress free on us. We couldnt be happier with the work that he did and highly recommend BOLT development group.
