I’ve known Mary Ann Vessey since I was a child. Her art has been a pillar in every aspect of my life. I am fortunate to own several of Mary Ann’s paintings, and my home wouldn’t be called home without them. I continue to be amazed by Mary Ann’s creativity and I’m proud to be able to call her my friend. You must see her amazing creations!!

During the COVID lockdown in DC, my partner and I had done a puzzle based on the art piece "Heebie Jeebies" by Mary Ann. We decided to have this puzzle framed and, because it looked so good, we wanted to find other puzzles initially. Doing a Google search resulted in her website. After seeing some other artwork we liked, we saw she lives in Staunton, VA less than three (3) hours from Washington. We contacted Mary Ann by phone and had a wonderful conversation. Despite isolating due to COVID, she was willing to have us visit to purchase pieces directly from her in the living room. Three days later we made the drive and glad we did. Mary Ann was warm, welcoming and charming all around. She took the time to explain her art history (self-taught!!!) and about some of the pieces on her website. She even displayed "Heebie Jeebies" on canvas to see what the puzzle was based on. My partner and I ended up buying three pieces from her. My personal favorite "Jewels in the Snow" is a painting she did of Washington, DC and is a perfect addition to my condo. We will be sharing her website with other people we know and look forward to making a return visit for more pieces. Mary Ann, thank you so much for welcoming both of us into your home, especially during this particular time. We couldn't be more pleased with your work.
