Dear C L – We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback, but regret learning that we failed to meet your expectations. For nearly thirty years, we have worked with individuals and small businesses in providing their tax and accounting needs. We understand addressing our tax obligation can be stressful sometimes and cause anxiety for many. As a result, we do everything we can to make the process as simple as possible while assisting clients to legally pay the least taxes possible. Your situation was somewhat unique in that we had to correct poorly prepared returns your previous accountants had produced (and had amended but was still missing significant tax deductions). It was especially important that if we were going to assist in correcting these disorganized earlier submissions, that we ensured we were very thorough to make sure this would be your final amendment. It was also very important that we agreed on cost. I feel compelled to say from the outset that any delays in beginning your project were related to an unusual and prolonged delay in agreeing on cost. We were uneasy by your requests to limit the scope of the work in a way that was not practical to achieve the desired outcome. We had hoped that we could come to a mutual agreement in sufficient time for us to complete the work prior to a planned trip overseas. Once our work started, delivery was further delayed by your unavailability while you were dealing with a sick infant. When we finally wrapped up in December, the IRS had suspended the acceptance of efiles to prepare itself for the 2022 tax season. So, although the process was painstaking, time consuming and fraught with delays, in the end we were thorough and prepared a flawless set of amended returns for you.So again, we are sorry that you were unhappy with our overall communication. Communication is a key foundation for every successful business relationship, especially in our line of business. Our goal for all our clients is to ensure we communicate effectively to address their needs and concerns. We are disappointed we missed the mark in assisting you.
