As. Dental office manager to another practice please be careful with this practice as they do not properly steralize their instruments meaning any Blood pathogens are not being removed and some dental assistants do no not have their xray certification meaning they do not know the proper radiation levels to administer to each child patient, also noticed some equipment would drop to the ground and not properly disposed or properly sanitized they just picked off the ground and proceeded with procedures if I could put no stars I would, definitely reporting office to Osha.

Dr M and the team at Springfield is so wonderful! My 6 year old went there for a cleaning and cavity fill and was he so nervous. The whole staff was friendly, explained everything to him, and made us feel at ease. Dr M was so wonderful at explaining things to him in a kid-friendly way and working fast and efficient.

We have switched pediatric dental practices already but I wanted to still leave my input for parents. Dr. Han himself is an average dentist, friendly to kids and gets the job done, nothing extra. His staff though need to learn to be more patient and kind when it comes to children and families. Our son got X-rays here and the hygienist doing his X-rays kept shouting for him to "hold still" and "do not move!" That is going to go well with a child, being shouted at by a stranger when they've got 10lbs of weight on their chest. We also used to all four go back for both kids' appointments- both kids and my husband and I. This worked out because as they're so young, one of us would sit with one in the dental chair and the other would watch the other child. During Covid, they still allowed this. I would call and ask multiple times before appointments and was always told we would be able to otherwise I would have changed their appointments. After one appointment where after we waited for half an hour and they clearly saw all four of us in the waiting area, they told me they only allowed one adult back with our two toddlers. We asked two days prior during our appointment reminder if this would be okay and I was assured it would be. I had also called a month before our appointment as well. Also told not to worry. Not to mention our three visits before this where we were allowed to. This also could have been mentioned when I checked in half an hour ago when they saw all four of us standing there. They wouldn't even allow us to each take one kid back and go at separate times because we had the same appointment time, but they were using the same hygienist?! If they had two different hygienist working on each of them at once, it would have made sense but this wasn't the case. I ended up waiting in the car as my husband bravely took both toddlers back and he said it was the most miserable experience of his life as he sat with one and the other roamed freely touching things and exploring with no other adults in sight. They assured me they were trained to work with kids and my second would be watched by someone else but no one was there... just my husband who was holding our daughter who's eyesight was blocked and the hygienist who was tending to my daughter's mouth... They put their own safety and my kids safety at risk and we are lucky nobody was hurt. I will never go back to a place that will make me feel this uncomfortable again and I want to warn other parents as well.

We were referred to PDC after my daughter refused to open her mouth for our family dentist and two other pediatric dentists. The moment we walked in, Dr. Rashed was curled up on the floor with my daughter, talking so warmly and gently to her. She got her to willingly open her mouth for the first time ever for a dentist. She had a cavity, and Dr. Rashed gently got my daughter to let her wiggle in a spacer. We came back 2 hours later and she put a crown on her (baby tooth) cavity. I cannot believe how warm and patient and kind Dr. Rashed was. She has so, so much patience and was so gentle and easy and calming towards my daughter. She spent so much time making sure my daughter agreed to the things happening to her. Her hygienist (tech? Assistant?) was also awesome. She remembered Id mentioned a few different things my daughter liked/activities she did and brought them up to try to help her refocus when she got upset. If this place goes out of network, Id pay out of pocket for them Truly, Dr. Rashed is a gift. On the way home from our appointment, my daughter told me that she wanted to be a dentist because she wanted a job where she helped people, and Dr. Rashed helped her to be brave. I could have cried, my daughters dental experience has been challenging and Dr. Rashed just came in with an open heart and an abundance of patience and helped my daughter be OK with the procedure. I cannot stress enough that this was the first time my 7 year old willingly participated in a dental visit. Which is not to say that it didnt take time. It took SO much time. But Dr. Rashed was calm and cool and collected and focused and kind. I am so grateful for her. The office staff is also beyond lovely and friendly. They process insurance so quickly and are so helpful. I cannot recommend this practice, and specifically Dr. Rashed, enough. The ability to work with highly anxious kids is a rare gift, and she has it in spades. I am genuinely grateful we found her! Also re sterilizing materials: Dr. Rashed went through so many mirrors, tooth picks, spacers, etc etc., because she let my daughter touch and feel each thing, even use them on their demo stuffed animal and she opened a new, sterile tool each time. Truly. She is amazing.
