Orange Troller

Last weekend my husband and I, along with my parents, spent 1 hour on Master Captain John Ellis pontoon boat and it was a great experience! He is safety oriented and prepares you for the trip so you dont have to wonder what if. It was great to hear some of the history of Lake Anna while seeing the beautiful sites. I would highly recommend this experience!

Captain Johnny Ellis is truly an Officer and a gentleman. My wife and I had NO Boating Experience and we wanted to explore recreational boating on Lake Anna in Virginia. Captain Ellis understood our anxiety and concerns and he expertly and calmly explained the basic fundamentals of safety and skill needed to begin to understand what we need to do. Of course we will continue to learn by doing- but we learned how to do things the right way. He gave us extra time for our lesson without any additional charge. My wife and I now feel confident that we have a good foundation for our new boating hobby. You will benefit from a boating lesson with Captain Ellis - regardless of your level of experience. Captain Elliss was an absolute pleasure. We visited Lake Anna for my birthday celebration. We were blessed to be able to experience The Orange Troller. What a coincidence that my favorite color is orange. Captain Elliss is very knowledgeable from the history of the lake to the types of fish in the lake. Our experience was so relaxing and positive. I look forward to experiencing The Orange Troller again.

When we picked our boating guide for a trip on the lake, little did we know we had a great caption whos is certified my the Coast Guard as a master captain. The safety brief prior to departing was great at making us all aware where everything needed in an emergency was located. The smooth ride was filled with information and great views. If you are looking for a great guide around lake you cannot go wrong here.

Our experience with Captain Ellis on The Orange Troller was phenomenal. Although my husband is an avid fisherman, Captain Ellis taught us a great many things we didn't know about fishing and trolling at Lake Anna. The entire experience was very professional but also lots of fun. The Orange Troller boat was immaculately clean and comfortable. Definitely a first-class operation and we look forward to taking other classes with Captain Ellis.
