LewisGale Pavilion

I just recently got discharged, and I have to say my experience was extremely different from other reviewers on here. I don't have a benchmark to compare it to as it was my first time in being hospitalized like this, but I really got a lot out of this experience. Nobody wants to be told they have to go to a place like this (I went voluntarily but on a recommendation from an ER visit), but if you do have to wind up going to a facility, I would 100% recommend LewisGale Pavilion. The staff is friendly, they show great compassion and care, and the Dr's are very helpful and mine was very personable. It was a rough time, but they helped me get through it and I hope everyone else is able to defeat whatever it is they are going through as well.

All those who have an issue with them complain to the US HHS. [email protected]. Taking this down will be a violation of federal law. Citizens have a right to reach out to Federal governing bodies.

I have been here twice and each time I was shown respect and dignity by the doctors, nurses and patients. This is the best mental health facility around by far. One should not expect the best experience if you are sent here against your will. If you truly need help then it is definitely at the Pavilion. I admitted myself and went by their recommendations, when I was discharged I found myself much more interested in life and was also able to gain coping skills that have helped a great deal. My meds were adjusted and I felt way better mentally. It is a mental hospital, so do not expect the Ritz!

I've been to many hospitals and this place has the BEST staff. The food is good. We could talk openly in our groups, which we had many of. The gym was cool. The stay was 5-7 days, they mean it too. If you have to go here just know it's pretty good and you'll be okay.
