Pleasant surprised it is still out there. It was a very cute, romantic place to stay. Cosy, lovingly prepared for us as guests. To bad we had not a few days more there.

We had a wonderful time at this superb historic farm. The site was historically the poor house for the county, and the original structures dating back to the early 1800s are still there, giving the place an added level of historical interest. We stayed in a suite in the main house which consisted of a private upstairs bathroom and bedroom and a ground floor sitting room with an outside door. My sister stayed in the cottage, which was also a sizable two level structure - originally the kitchen for the poor house farm. The second floor has a huge bedroom and a bathroom with a clawfoot tub, while the ground floor has a full kitchen and sitting room. The cottage could easily sleep 4 if they added a pull-out couch downstairs. The place is decorated in a rustic style, and the grounds are inhabited by the owners own free range chicken and geese - which just adds to the charm. The breakfast was ripped from the pages of Town and Country - yogurt parfaits with raspberries, strawberries, and almonds to start, followed by eggs and sausage and a baked french toast concoction served in a casserole dish, all served on beautiful dishes. IIRC, the eggs were also acquired from the owners free-range chickens. Overall, an impeccable experience - historic setting in the midst of wine country, rustic charm, and a delicious beautifully presented meal. To add - in contrast to some other B&Bs we stayed at, the suites were very well prepared, having everything we could have wanted ready when we arrived.
