Nurses don't care about patients Lack of caring about their jobs Only there for a paycheck Keep you waiting in the lobby until they clean up your relative Would not recommend you take your loved one there Didn't treat my Mom with care, respect or cleanliness at all

DO NOT put your loved one here! The word neglect in every form and fashion doesnt even begin to cover it. My mother has been here since December and has double vision and eye pain since her arrival. I have asked multiple times for them to get her an eye appt since I cannot physically handle her to get her there. Still waiting on an appointment to this day. She was supposed to have rehabilitation since she is a stroke patient. She fell last week (I was never notified) and has since been removed from rehabilitation services. The business manager has been caught in multiple lies that cost us $11,000. There is no assistance and no communication. Their main goal is to discharge their patients even though they are a danger to themselves. Find somewhere else to send your loved one

The level of care depends on the department at Pheasant Ridge Nursing and Rehab. The therapy staff, PT, OT, and Speech therapies are outstanding! The staff are very professional, knowledgeable, personable, and caring. Their approaches are creative and beneficial. I can't say the nursing staff has the same efficiency, as short staffing seems to be problematic. Some CNAs work very hard and seem dedicated. Most I've spoken with have only worked at PR for several months. There can be over an hour wait after a resident pushes the nursing call button. The facility is clean and maintained, and the rooms are pleasant. I have noted vacant rooms on some units, but the staffing levels might limit capacity. The food service is not always attentive. For example, there may not be sufficient utensils on the residents' tray or sugar might be on the tray, but no food or tea requiring it is provided. Once the kitchen understands the residents' diet needs, the food choices available become better. Serving meals hot tends to be challenging for the kitchen due to the high number of trays they need to provide at one time. Residents can choose to have meals in their room or lunch in the social environment of the dining room. A good choice of activities is offered, but I've only been present for a few. The weekends when no therapy is offered and few activities are available tend to be a slower, more boring time for the residents. Overall, I would suggest checking out the services provided at PR, but I would recommend frequent visits, observation of care, and listening to the feedback from your loved one. 1/22/24 I've been trying to reach a resident by phone for over 2 hours, but no receptionist or nurses station answers the phone. It's not off hours, 8 am to 10 am, but no answer. Frustrating!
