Oddly quiet but it was a nice change from the usual hustle and bustle of a regular hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, the cleaning staff were efficient and courteous. The front desk attendant whose name I can't remember (he wore a head piece) was incredibly kind, inviting, and professional. Thnk you for a great stay in a perfect location! Rooms: Rooms were spacious and clean, no notes! Nearby activities: It's RIGHT next to the market street and well within walking distance of some awesome restaurants. Safety: The only door that was open was the front, the other doors required a key card or app to enter. Walkability: You are less than a block away from market street and all of the shops. It's a lovely place with great restaurants to boot.

I just returned home after a couple day stay in Roanoke. Our hotel stay was so nice. When we first arrived for check in, everything was explained to us about parking, locations of amenities, ect. Our room had a fabulous view of Mill Mountain and the location of the hotel is always you to walk most anywhere you would want to visit. Museums, resturaunts, shops. The staff was so helpful with everything We had some brief trouble with our room key and the issue was resolved within minutes. And when they caught wind it was my Birthday they showed up with some goodies with the help of my sister. I'm hoping I can soon sneak away for another quick trip and would absolutly look onto staying here again. Oh, and the breakfast offered is delicous. A nice variety, choices for everyone. Made the early morning drive home feel not so bad. Hahah Rooms: I read that some have said outdated but we loved our room. We had a balcony with a table and chairs. The beds were very comfortable. The fridge worked nice and there were plenty of towels. Nearby activities: Transport Museum (which was awesome) Pinball museum, arcade. Lots of art. Music venues, parks, historic sights and ofcoarse Mill Mountain. Safety: There is always staff on hand in the lobby and also I beleive at 8p.m or so you must have key to enter. Walkability: Unless you having something planned that involves a drive, you could literally just stay parked during your visit and walk everywhere. There are a pretty big handful of museums close by, some very close by. Many resturaunts to choose from. and a few music venues as well. The walks are nice and well lit at night. Food & drinks: The breakfast offered in the morning was lovely. They serve from 6-10 which is great because not everyone is up and moving by 8. The food was nice and hot and the area very clean.

Hotel Roanoke is currently under construction so we opted to switch here during our weekend visit. The manager checked us in, and made sure we had a roll away bed and plenty of room to spread out with two teens in tow. Best hotel experience in a while; I had no idea how much spare beds had improved, and I'm so glad she offered. A little miscommunication with staff and it wasn't delivered initially, but I asked at the desk before we went for dinner and it was there by the time we got back. Clean rooms. Clean hotel. Great location right there off market square. One elevator was acting up and not unlocking for upper rooms with your key, but there was a staff member at the elevator every single time we came through to make sure. Some really great food options right there, and it's wonderful to have the coop store so close as well. The square, the museums, the market, plus easy access to the shops and restaurants towards the courthouse, as well as the breweries across the track a little farther down... All very accessible on foot. Nice to plan a weekend visit and not need the car at all. Great with kids or without... Plenty to do. Highly recommend.
