Freedom First Credit Union

This bank has shady practices. Requested documentation for several months and still getting the run around . Put your money else where so it is safe this bank is looking more and more like Wells Fargo daily . Managers are none existent customer service is joke . I regret banking with the institution

The whole reason I switched years ago from SunTrust to FFCU was because SunTrust started implementing fees just to have a checking account. I remember how FF was very excited about all of the new business they were getting from SunTrust because of this. (This is when they were still relatively small with only a couple of locations.) Today I received a letter in the mail saying FFCU is going to start charging 7 to 9 dollars a month just to have a checking account unless you meet certain qualifications. Theyre, of course, trying to offer unwanted benefits with the new monthly fee to help you feel like youre actually getting something out of the forced deal. Considering the state of our economy and how many people are struggling just to pay rent this is a tactless move and shows how business development almost always ends up in greed/corruption. I thought I could trust a credit union, but unfortunately, I was wrong.

I have been banking with Freedom First for awhile now and I love my credit union but I don't love this location. The tellers are extremely rude and judgmental. Vinton location is much better. I gave them 4 stars only because I love the bank in itself. Just not that branch. Get better tellers that ain't so snooty and rude.
