My realtor, Lyndsay Jones, not only led me through the house purchase process, but made sure, when I moved into my new/old house, that the sellers had thoroughly cleaned the house (formerly inhabited by renters and a cat) and taken care of the overgrown yard and landscaping. Lyndsay was in England at her brother's wedding, during the first phase of the process, showing the home and going to contract; so she leveraged her team to make sure that I could meet the bid-submitted-by date. Even though she wasn't physically here in Virginia, she went out of her way to make sure that my bid was accepted. Lyndsay even called the seller's realtor from England (from the wedding. night time GMT) to discuss the merits of my bid and, then called me to give me the good news. After we did the walkthrough before the closing, Lyndsay called the seller and convinced them to do the yardwork and remove old appliances that had been left in the garage, so that when I moved in 2 days later the jungle had been transformed into a lovely yard! Finding a new home and moving are difficult and stressful events. Lyndsay went out of her way to smooth out the bumps and helped me buy the home I wanted in a difficult market, and in ready-to-move-in condition.
