Dr. Yaratha is the best psychiatrist Ive worked with in 30 years because he is fully dedicated to his calling to help people with psychiatric issues. To that end, he hasnt overextended himself in a large medical practice that demands he be accountable to stakeholders. In other words, he is not so busy or preoccupied that Im ever left waiting or wondering about his ability to hear me. He knows that we patients are the stakeholders! He has a day job that he is able to do without wearing himself thin. He has excellent boundaries between that job, his work at RVA Recovery, his own recovery and his family, meaning that I know those other responsibilities exist for himhes an authentic person but I feel supported by his dedication to my health also. Whats more, I know that counselor respects him. Finally, Dr. Yaratha practices what he preaches. His attention to his own physical, mental and spiritual health sustain him and inspire me. I never feel like a case, with Dr. Yaratha. I feel like a partner in his care of me. Especially today, Im not ashamed to say that we need psychiatrists like Dr. Yaratha.
