Chesterbrook Academy Preschool

We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Chesterbrook Academy in Short Pump. Our child's teachers have been invaluable in their growth and it has been wonderful to see as a parent. Both the Principal and Assistant Principal have personally checked in with us if our child is out sick which has just reinforced our belief that we chose the right school.

Love Chesterbrook the staff is kind, honest, and down-to-Earth. They give progress reports on my 1-year-old, and tuition is transparent and fair. My favorite is the curriculum and seeing math and language integrated just as much as art and music! Drop off and pick up is easy and convenient- would highly recommend!!!

Both of our children have been with Chesterbrook coming up on a year. One in full time infant care and the other in afterschool care and we've had nothing short of an incredible experience. Our children have been in the childcare systems since they were each 3 months and I can confidently say the staff in this facility truly care about the children under their care. It gives such a peace of mind as a working parent to know that my children are being cared for with love and respect. Ms. Kristina & Ms. Shinique are incredible- they always greet you with a big smile and set the tone for the facility. Ms. Kristina helped us handle a sensitive situation with our son and has led with such empathy and support. It's clear she advocates for the kids within her care- we love her and ALL the teachers in this school. Genuinely everyone cares and it feels like my children are loved in the way you want them to while they're not at home.

The previous administrators were okay but I had an issue with the principal pulling my son out of school at the drop of a hat. In addition, there was little communication between them and the parents about school events and closings. I seriously considered changing schools. However, I've seen a major improvement with Miss Kristina and Miss Shinique's interventions. They have monthly calendars and send out reminders with school closings and events. They had a parent-teacher night and include parents in events like mystery readers and gingerbread house decorating. I really like their improvements and I think the staff is happier too. I can't imagine changing schools. My son is so happy and his skills are progressing beyond my expectations. I love the school curriculum and the staff! Great job!!
