Today is my daughter's last day at Kid's Place. It is with a heavy heart that we had to disenroll her for unrelated reasons to Kid's Place. Now the bright side of this -- all of the amazing individuals that work down there. When my daughter came to the WJCC, she had a lot of past trauma from a terrible school, a terrible aftercare, all the terrible things for a poor child to go through. When we came to the WJCC, the staff opened her with welcoming arms. My daughter has some special accommodations that were miraculously ALL MET at the WJCC. She was cared for by a group of really amazing individuals. I want to personally thank Juanita Wilkins, Sara Chafik, Lindsay Fauccette, Britt Sain, Ian Aguilar, Ahava, and Kour'tney France (and anyone else i may be forgetting). Thank you for bringing the sparkle back to my daughter's eyes, for caring for her for two years day in and day out, seeing through the tiny tantrums, and embracing every single piece of her that was broken before. Most school/after school providers see our children more often than we do. Thank you for being her caregivers and for giving a true meaning to, "it takes a village." You all are my village. With so much compassion, and gratitude - thank you again.

The center's dedication to the spiritual, cultural, and ethical dimensions of Judaism is commendable. It raises, however, a poignant question for me about how these noble ideals translate into action, especially in contexts that deeply challenge our collective commitment to peace, justice, and the sanctity of all human lives. I believe that open dialogue and constructive discussion are vital to reconciling these complexities with our shared ethical standards. It is through such conversations that communities can grow stronger, more empathetic, and truly embody the principles they stand for. In the spirit of constructive feedback, I hope the center will consider facilitating more forums for dialogue on these issues, reflecting deeply on how its positions and actions resonate with the core ethical values of Judaism. Such efforts could significantly enhance the center's impact and its alignment with the moral teachings that underpin our community's identity. I look forward to seeing how the community center addresses these challenges, evolving in a way that strengthens its commitment to ethics and justice for all.

When an unforseen accident closed the pool the day of my daughter's birthday party, Bridget jumped to action! She saved the day and my daughter had a great day! This place is awesome!

Great gym space in the Richmond area - though the memberships can be quite pricey unless you're under 35 or over 55. The real hidden gem is the full steam room, sauna and jacuzzi - a rarity in the Richmond area and a real treat on the muscles after a long workout. Thhough I sometimes question their commitment to keeping these amenities given their downtime and the seemingly increasing restrictions on use.

Highly recommend Weinstein JCC for a kids birthday party! We had such a wonderful experience from coordinating with Bridget Waugh, down to the lifeguards during the party! They had things setup and were very accommodating throughout the party and helped things go seamlessly!
