I hired her as a personal chef for a 50th intimate birthday dinner that was suppose to occur on 11/17. I paid my deposit back on 10/7. The contract was signed and within the contract it was promised that three days prior to the actual date of the dinner a salad would be made, which did not occur. The week of the dinner, I had to message and ask about the date, just to ensure that everything was still on, she replied that it was. The day before the dinner on 11/16 she messaged me, confirming the arrival time of 5:30PM-6PM on 11/17 and also requested that I sent her the menu. I did what was requested. On 11/17 I received a text at 7:36 AM stating that she had to cancel the dinner due to an emergency in New York, and that she could do it the following Sunday if I am available. She also stated that she requested another chef to replace her. I immediately told her that I could not do it the following Sunday because it was suppose to be an intimate dinner on his day of birth 11/17. I then asked her for the information for the personal chef. She did not replied. I requested to have my money back, and she has not replied, which has led me to write this review on 11/21. I understand emergencies do happen, but respond especially when individuals have paid you money, and you did not deliver the service that was expected. Luckily, there are a lot of restaurants to choose from and plans were quickly made for dinner. Am I upset? No, but I would just like a simple response to reassure me that this entire situation was not fraudulent and also to have my money back.

Not a good experience. Over an hour late, store bought trays, not enough food. Affordable, but not good. Real disappointment.

**DO NOT USE/BUY**I bought an in-home cooking class in December of 2012 as a Christmas gift for my wife.  After NUMEROUS attempts to set up a date, the communication finally ceased in April of 2013.  I still have yet to re-establish contact with her again to get a refund.

Same complaint as the others. I bought In Home Tapas and Wine course through LivingSocial and called her in March to set an appt. She said she was booked but could set one for August. We set up August 20th and I have emails to confirm this.  She was a no show  - never answered any calls prior to the appt. or emails when I tried confirming.  Still have not heard from her. BUT, she made darned sure I gave her my voucher number back in March so she could get her money from Living Social before it expired.
