Rehabilitative Services Department

These people are changing my sons life. They are professional, kind, understanding, nonjudgmental and have many program options available. DARS brought hope to our family, and the people in this office are angels.

I was given the number to called them. I was transferred to very rude person that has yelled at me about why I should opportunity. I explained why and made me filled out a forms. Then never called me to update me on anything and sent me a letter that I wasn't. I called the office to get big boss to let him know what the person said. He never to talk to me just had other person who looked into it. The person told me one thing then said that I need to started over the forms to get little bit helped. What is the point having services to help people with disabilities if they are not going helped them to achieve their jobs goals into the job force opportunities in life.

The people at ears in Portsmouth are rude and disrespectful to people they fintwont to hear anything from anyone who calls they don't have any time to season to your store or anything you say at all I don't remain this to anyone who has a disability they thank I went to school in Ohio I told them I don't live in Ohio or go to school in Ohio I went to school in Hampton and been waiting for a job coach overc3 mouth they never gave me a job coach after they told me it will be a couple of days to get a job coach they don't care they don't have time to help anyone I gave Mrs. Mcdaniel she not a nice person

If you need services I'd advise asking for them 2-4 years in advance. I've had multiple staff members tell me asking too much for asking how long it should take to get a service in place. Roughly 7 months ago we started the DARS journey, things achieved thus far a botched job non interview.
