Petersburg General District Court

I received a ticket for driving while holding a phone. I take full responsibility for that even though I was using the GPS to find a place in that tiny town. The officer checked the box that says I do not need to appear in court just pay the fine. I attempt to pay the fine and the rudest, nonprofessional person Ive encountered in 2022 says well he shouldnt have checked the box. And that wasnt all she said. Mind you, this is the day before court and Im out of town. So now theyve tacked on a no show fine to the sum of >$250. Ive heard about Petersburg being a corrupt city where their city officials done know their back from front. But this puts the stamp on it for me. I dont have a choice but to pay the additional costs but your city will never prosper and I hope the people that work in the courts dont either. Rude, unprofessional and lacks basic skills!!! but Im sure no one will fix it, theyve been this way for years is my understanding..

Horrible court, workers are very unprofessional cursing when in office with customers.

The judge is the worst human in the world. Ada violations and so on. A completely heartless guy. I could not be around him as he is evil.
