He paints with the strength of a life-long intimate knowledge he acquired from this enchanting youth. His paintings are recognized as among the most honest portrayals of the Chesapeake drama and beauty. Best known for his wildlife art, Willie transmits to his paintings an ever fresh view of the Eastern Shore Landscape, the wildfowl and the Marsh.
