        Beautifully kept 2,600 acre Nature Preserve in SW Virginia open FREE to the Public. The fact that it's home to such an iconic movie is cherry on top. Take a hike on one of the numerous trails or book an excursion at the outfitters to go out on Gator ATV. We loved exploring everywhere while staying at the lodge, which we also highly recommend! You can tell the locals take such pride in their home. I am excited to come back with my loved ones to explore more. Don't forget scavenger hunt Playground: Yes there is one for the kiddos Restrooms: Yes in the main lodge Picnic area: Anywhere and Everywhere! Hahaha
