Amedisys Home Health Care

I did not have a great experience this company and how they ran things. It took them over a week to finally show up for my physical and occupational therapy, I actually had to keep calling them to see what's going on. Then, they would make appts with me and never show up or either my skilled nursing appt would be at 10 a.m. and the physical therapist may show up. I was supposed to have hour long therapy sessions and they come for 20 minutes and leave. I stated that I did not want Amedisys services anymore and they started showing up randomly to my house for appointments that I never made or agreed to. Seems like they were more about getting my insurance money versus really caring and helping me recover

Nurses from Amedisys have been coming to see my dad once a week for almost three years. Everyone who has been here seem to be very professional and they always confirm the visit in the evening before the day of visit. We also ordering medical supplies through the nurse and the supplies always arrive on time. Occasionally wrong products were ordered, but they always happy to reorder for us. Nurse Christy has been treating my father more often than others. She is such a wonderful nurse and person. She is very caring and give good advice. We are always happy to see her.

Recovering from a severe femur break, this company went above and beyond top notch service. The home health nurses were caring and thorough and my home physical therapist, Matt, got me out of the bed and strong enough to walk in my house with a walker. Everyone was on time, friendly, and professional. I would definitely recommend!

If I could say just one thing about the Richmond Amedysis Hospice, it would be Hospice Dream Team. Seriously from the very beginning I felt like I had Cheerleadersguiding me every step of the way. As this was my first caregiver role, I needed help. No question I asked was considered crazy. Each Nurse had care and concern, from the beginning to the end. They did whatever it took  to make sure the patient and the caregiver was in great shape.  I even had a nurse drive over an hour in the middle of the night. Who gives that kind of attention? While I never met Dr.B, he was an integrative part of keeping the patient calm and pain free. Exactly how the end of life should be. Calm and pain free. Thank you Elizabeth, Stephanie, Melanie, and everyone else. Your love and care were felt and appreciated. I could not have been a caregiver without this dream team.
