        It is always such a wonderful experience to see Dr. Smith and her staff. Everyone is professional, yet make you feel very comfortable like you have known them your whole life. Dr. Smith is very thorough and everything is explained to you, whether it be a procedure, medication or treatment she may prescribe. As you can see, I am very much in support of this practice and truly believe you will leave your appointment feeling the same way.

      Tovia Martirosian Smith, MD

      Dr. Tovia Martirosian Smith is a urogynecologist at Virginia Women's Center. She cares for patients at our West End, Short Pump and Mechanicsville locations. Born and raised in Richmond, Tovia M. Smith, M.D. is excited to return to her hometown to practice medicine. Dr. Smith specializes in treating symptoms of incontinence and difficulties from the relaxation of the pelvic floor. She joined Virginia Women’s Center in March 2014. Dr. Smith earned her bachelor’s degree from Yale University, where she played varsity field hockey as an All-American for the Bulldogs. She earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia, where she was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society for compassion in medicine.
