Teresa Endsley called the cops on me when I told her I didnt like her style & would not be continuing seeing her. Never once mentioned suicide, homicide, or inability to care for self. So petty & childish. I cannot describe how utterly mad I am. Ive already emailed a greivance. I hope you all realize that it is a breach of confidentiality when you disclose patient information without an emergency situation. Otherwise known as a HIPPA violation. Yes, that includes to the police. How do I know? Im a prior certified prescreening clinician, so I know Virginias code. Three weeks later: Sad how no follow up occurred. Absolutely none. May as well not bother telling your patients to write grievance emails. Also, its not feedback when Teresa almost got me ECOd and cost me my livelihood. The billing department sucks, to be incredibly frank. Ive attempted to gain itemized bills for the last month because I somehow have a $300 bill? I call & it says to go to the patient portal. I message & I never get any response. Is this how you treat one of the most vulnerable populations who often do not have the ability to advocate for themselves? Again, very sad how you treat patients here and thats coming from one of your professional peers. If it wasnt for my NP, Id be long gone. Shoutout to Victor, who doesnt suck.

I have to say that the care here has declined significantly. I saw a doctor who ignored my concerns that my medication was no longer effective. It wasnt. She didnt care. I fired her and found someone who is an active listener and makes sure Im involved in my care. This was lost here.

I have had positive experiences with providers; however, their billing office requires much improvement. I've been overcharged numerous occassions and when I've questioned the billing department they provided inaccurate information which caused me to do my own research with insurance and fight to get refunded by LifeStance. Providers earn 5 stars, billing earns 1 for the abundance of frustration they cause (past and continuously).

I am editing yet again on August 17, 2023. I just want to add that Dr. de Leon was so supportive of me during the time I searched (not at LifeStance--no one available) for another therapist. She has been miraculously available a few times when I was having serious issues in my life and hadn't found a therapist. I appreciate that she answers all questions about my medications and explains things so I understand. She has been outstanding in managing my medications. I must also add that termination with Dr. Stone was harder than I expected. I think it has taken me a full year to process and finally move on. It is very hard not to miss the therapist who did the most for you in 40+ years of seeing mental health professionals.. But, now that I have a therapist I am happy with, I know I can do more work on myself thanks to the life-changing work Dr. Stone and I did. I am editing this review on February 18, 2022. I will leave the original review but remove some info just so it isn't so long. Here are the additions: On February 16, I terminated therapy with Dr. Stone. It was a mutually agreed upon termination because I'm doing so well! I saw Dr. Stone for 3 years and 3 months. I so appreciated his compassion, empathy, and professional knowledge as we worked through my retirement, recurring depression, and the loss of my father. Dr. Stone was also very understanding about my need to process termination. I will miss our time together but I am grateful to have known him, learned from him, and grown because of him. He made the 3 years of my life I was in his care very meaningful and transformative. I must also add my appreciation to all the office assistants that have helped me during this time. Olivia, Heather, Brittany, and Naija (forgive spelling!) have all been available when I needed them and always knew the answers to my questions. I really appreciate their promptness in answering emails. The following is the original review, with some info removed, just to shorten it. I don't know where to begin! I have been seeing Dr. Stone and Dr. De Leon for almost a year and a half and I am thrilled with the care they have given me. I have been in therapy (other places) for many years but it wasn't until I started seeing Dr. Stone that my issues were truly addressed. I love everything about Commonwealth Counseling [now LifeStance Health]. The office assistants are friendly and efficient. Dr. De Leon has been terrific helping me keep my meds straight. Dr. Stone has helped me make my life truly meaningful and I will be forever grateful.
