Work was to start 12/20 and be finished before Christmas, “guaranteed”. Mr. Edwards stated he was unable to find a concrete grinder to rent, then found one, then texted me that he found his wife in bed with a black man he afterward described with the N-word and couldn't start work that day.The floor was "completed" 1/2/22. I couldn't walk on the floors, but from the stairs it looked good, so I Paid in Full and left a 5 star review. After epoxy cured in 24 hours and was walkable, I took a good look at the floor and found ground up leaves throughout the entire urethane topcoat from the crews shoes and 48 spots where the epoxy beneath was chipped to the concrete underneath and other clearly visible defects. Epoxy permanently on my bathroom sink porcelain and fixture, on doorknobs and walls. Requested Mr. Edwards resolve the issues per contract and he stated that the floor issues were MY fault, over "one little spot". The photos prove that to be false.I requested a full refund of the $7,280.73 so that I could pay someone else to fix or cover the awful workmanship, Mr. Edwards said he would go through his insurance to get the refund, then refused and offered an unacceptable $2,000 refund via check. When informing I would take Thorough Clean LLC to court, Mr. Edwards eventually pleaded to let him come back and do the job over, which I allowed. My mistake.Over the next 5 months, it was excessive tardies (EG: stated arrival at 9am, not arriving until 3pm) or no call/no shows, and always that it was some thing or somebody else's fault. He was unable to fix the floors and had a person try sanding down the floor over two days using only an orbital hand sander before agreeing to take the floor back down to the concrete and start over. All pictures are current except the chips thus the redo. I'm open for tours to prove it.When I changed my review to 1 star and no description. Mr. Edwards, via text, threatened to sue me for slander if I put up a bad review. Mr. Edwards, the truth is not slander. I have mountains of photos and texts that prove every word I say is accurate. Please take me to court over my honest review. I'm more than happy to appear.After Mr. Edwards refused to finish the job and ceased responding to communication, I reported the issue to the DPOR, who found Mr. Edwards was not licensed for contract work. Mr. Edwards was not fully honest when he said he was licensed. He had a business license, not a contracting license.Conclusion: I was hoping for excellence at the price I was charged. Mr. Edwards never finished the job and is not allowed at my residence. Mr. Edwards may be able to provide wonderful service in all other services this company offers. I have no experience with his other services. However, for this job, he was extremely unprofessional, blamed me for his workmanship issues, and I wouldn't trust him again to do a job well, or arrive at the time he specifies, or even show up at all, based on my direct experience. If you are considering contract work with Mr. Edwards and ThoroughClean, LLC, request to view the contractor's license for the specific work, not just the business license. I didn't know any better, so learn from my mistake. And, I don't know if Mr. Edwards is racist or was even telling the truth on what was to be the first day of work. I only have what he sent me via text and his word, which he has repeatedly demonstrated unable to keep. Caveat Emptor.
