I had my 2 children here for a year and half. I wish I had listened to my instincts and moved them sooner. Pros: My older child learned a lot of songs, numbers, letters, etc.; they were accommodating to our dietary needs; most staff was friendly and made a point to know every child's name, even when they weren't in their class; and it was affordable, especially considering all that is included in tuition (diapers and meals and such). Cons: 1. My then-2.5 year old came home saying the f-word because she heard her teacher in the 2C class say (according to my daughter it was directed at a child, as in, "You're f---ing rude"; according to the teacher it was not). My child repeated the word in more than one context, which leads me to believe it was more than an isolated "slip" (as the teacher claimed). As of when we left 3 months later, the teacher still worked there in the same class, as the directors apparently did not share our concern about this person's professionalism and suitability to work with children. 2. My daughter came home every day and lined up all her toys and forcefully told each one, "Go sit on the wall! You're not listening!" (She hasn't done this since we left.) 3. In December she would come home and tell her toys, "You're on the naughty list! Santa is gonna give your presents to another kid because you're not listening!" (I assure you none of this was coming from us) 4. My 1 year old would sometimes nap 20 minutes for the entire day, or sometimes not at all. The infant room staff seemed completely not bothered by this. (He's a great sleeper and has no trouble napping at our new daycare) 5. One time I stood outside the infant classroom for three solid minutes and watched a baby sleeping in a swing with a blanket fully covering her entire face before anyone noticed and moved it away. Based on their many other glowing reviews maybe I'm in the minority, but based on my experience I would recommend looking elsewhere for childcare.

My son started at TLC around his second birthday. He at the time had a very small vocabulary and not much interaction with other children. Within a few weeks, my son was thriving socially and coming home with a much stronger vocabulary. The teachers have always been amazing and loving to my son. They really put in effort to make sure the environment is focused on teaching, manners and behaved free play. The lesson plans are followed through with just enough time for indoor and outdoor play. This daycare ( I call it school because of its high focus of learning) would be a perfect fit for a parent wanting best for their children, educationally and socially. As much as I want my child to be smart, I also want him to be a well rounded- good person and the learning connection has the same goal in mind for each child. If your looking for a facility and unsure, make an appointment with the leadership at TLC and i am hopeful you will leave with your child enrolled. My son looks forward to going and they do a great job on making learning fun.GREAT staff, awesome meals, perfect place to leave and be comfortable knowing your child is in good hands.
