This is the only physical therapist I will go to. Dr is so caring and gentle. I have never left feeling defeated and never weary of going back. I have been helped by Universal Health for a number of issues. Am being treated now for a shoulder replacement. Choose Universal Health and you will be glad you did.

I started my treatment of my right arm, with a good recommendation. Dr. Aguilar evaluated me and I began my treatment. The doctor told me about the treatment of dry needles. Excellent helped me a lot in my treatment in addition to the exercises. I recommend it

Absolutely recommend to anyone with physical pain! I had really bad, sharp pains in my neck & back and couldn't turn my head in any direction, and Dr. Aguilar helped so much. I was a lot better the next day, after having the pain for several days straight and nothing else worked. Dr. Aguilar is fantastic & I would give more stars if I could :)

After months of pain and immobility following my retirement from teaching, I met with multiple spinal surgeons that recommended the best course of action would be a fusion of my L4-L5 vertebrae. Before and after surgery, I felt helpless as I was unable to walk, bend, or do any of the activities that made up a large part of my life prior to this back pain. Depression and hopelessness crept in the weeks after surgery, but a close friend who also had back issues recommended I meet with Dr Aguilar because he had helped with her mobility issues in the past. Dr. Aguilar evaluated me explaining everything he was doing. He was kind, listened, and was very comforting in his approach. I was so fearful due to conditions that run in my family, but he assured me if he saw anything that warranted me to go down a path different than rehabilitation, he would be honest with me. When we began the "workouts" he was encouraging me through every move even though it didn't feel like i was doing them well and i felt weak. The first few times were so hard, but he kept pointing out the small improvements and kept me in a positive mindset. After a month I, as well as my family, was shocked at how I started to walk without leaning and moving faster. Soon going up and down stairs was less of a burden. Dr. Aguilar recommended I see a neurologist to rule things out with regard to my gait and balance. He was kind and supportive and explained why he thought it would help me. I was nervous and upset, but he explained how I could be helped if I got more information or a different diagnosis. He would always be sure our sessions ended with a positive (I could jog a little or walk faster) which he knew was important to me. If I could give Dr. Aguilar more than 5 stars I would. He is a miracle worker who approaches his job with the kindness, intelligence, and experience you wish for in any medical professional. I'd also like to mention the office manager, Labe, who handles all the insurance and scheduling. She is top notch and works with you and has a happy and pleasant disposition. My orthopedic surgeon recommended PT for spine related issues. I'm a 65 year old man and I've had physical therapy more times than I can count. I have had no luck with any previous physical therapies. This time, however, I knew exactly where to go for excellent results based on my wife's experience with doctor Aguilar for her previous physical therapy needs. Doctor Aguilar has an excellent approach to treating the focused areas while taking whole body health into account. He is hands-on and uses a variety of treatment modalities. He is very skilled in utilizing the dry needling approach (which sounds terrible, but its not), which is incredibly beneficial. I have been extremely pleased with his results use utilizing laser, dry needling, massage, scraping, stim, exercise, traction, and stretching. Thanks to him I am able to do things physically now that I have been unable to do for several years. He has a terrific personality and is very connected to each patient. Based on his view of my x-rays and his work with me, Dr. Aguilar recommended that I see a rheumatologist, who diagnosed me with a serious health condition that had previously gone undiagnosed for quite a number of years. He has made several other health recommendations that have made significant improvements to my overall health. Labe, who is the office manager, handles insurance, scheduling, and I'm sure much more. She is extremely pleasant to deal with and has a vast knowledge of all insurance matters. The office itself is extremely well equipped, spacious, clean, and comfortable. I give doctor Aguilar a 5+ rating out of 5... along with my sincere gratitude.
