Patriot Lawn and Landscape

I am writing to alert you about the risk of signing (or renewing) a mowing service contract with Patriot Lawn and Landscaping because they acted in bad faith regarding honoring the terms of our agreement. If it were possible to give zero stars, then I would have rated them lower. Here is the abbreviated back story: I'm a disabled 30-year Army veteran who signed a contract with Patriot Lawn in March 2020, after my Persian Gulf War-related disabilities worsened to the point where I could no longer maintain the yard on my own. I selected Patriot Lawn because they mowed my neighbors yard. My contractual issue with them began when I emailed photos and asked Patriot Lawn to repair the damage to my lawn caused by their crew using the heaviest self-propelled mower on a small area of wet grass in my front yard. The office manager agreed to do the lawn restoration but stipulated that there would be a charge if there was a next time. I responded by offering suggestions to avoid causing further damage (like using a weed eater or simply skipping that small area if it's soggy), and I pushed back on their idea that I should be charged for repairing damage caused by their crew as not being legal in Virginia. The next day, I received an email from the president of Patriot Lawn informing me that after his manager repaired my lawn, and he was discontinuing my mowing service. I responded to his email by pointing out that we have a contract in place that obligated Patriot Lawn to provide a set number of mowing per year, and his unilateral decision to prematurely discontinue my mowing service would be a breach of our contract. The president of Patriot Lawn responded to my email by stating that his mowing service is not a binding contract. In response, I asked him for a copy of our contract to review, but he did not respond to my request. I located a copy of my contract in my email archives, and I confirmed that the president of Patriot Lawn was not telling the truth. So, what am I doing about all of this: first and foremost, I wanted to warn other neighbors about Patriot Lawn and Landscapes unlawful (and unpatriotic) bad faith acts. Secondly, I am in the process of filing a formal bad business complaint with the Better Business Bureau Lastly, under Virginias Consumer Protection Act, I am in the process of filing a with the Attorney General of Virginia. What do I want you to do: I would like you to avoid signing or renewing a contract with Patriot Lawn and Landscape and instead follow the advice that the company president gave me after four years, There are a lot of mowing companies out there and finding one is absolutely the best solution for your lawn.

The team at Patriot Lawn and Landscape did such a nice job cleaning the yard of leaves. They seem to take pride in the work they do. The mulching and trimming really made the yard look good! Services: Grass seeding, Mulching, Yard work

This company comes out every Thursday to do my neighbors lawn. And they keep mistaking our yard for the neighbors. My husband has gone out there to explain that to the guys, my husband had also called the company. THEYRE STILL SPRAYING whatever they spray on her lawn on ours. I have now noticed the stuff they are spraying on our NEWLY PLANTED SHRUBS are dying! What do we need to do to tell your crew to STOP attending to our lawn and flower bed! We had planted stuff last year and we noticed our plants died. But this year I started watching our cameras, sure enough its your company thats killing our plants and shrubs in our flower bed!
