Homewood Suites by Hilton Lynchburg

Awesome hotel, huge rooms with Kitchenettes make it feel almost like an airbnb. Very modern and fresh inside, and it was the last stop of a long road trip vacation and my family was by far the most comfortable there out of several other (also nice) hotel rooms in other cities. I'd stay there any time! Rooms: Huge with kitchens.

I always stay at homewood suites wherever I go. I'm never usually disappointed. This hotel was very clean and well taken care of. Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. Had a studio and a 1 bedroom. Both were roomy for the kids and not where everyone is on top of each other. The grounds were nice. Staff were all pleasant. Rooms: Rooms were roomy and great for traveling with kids so they aren't stuck sitting on a bed all day. Full kitchen, table and chair, couch and sitting area. We had a king size studio suite and it was perfect Safety: All outside doors (except main entrance) required a key card to get in. Room had auto shut door to close behind you. Bolt turn lock plus door stopper (so door can't be forced open). I felt very safe alone with my young son. Food & drinks: Breakfast was great the first day, other than a broken food heater. Only problem was there was only 1 working food heater and only 1 waffle maker on the premise. The lady on the 1st day we were there was amazing. Changed everything as needed, helped everyone. Note...this was as during the 1st half hour they served Breakfast. Second day, not good at all. Breakfast is 6:30-9:30. Before 8am, all the juice and milk were gone. Waffle batter was empty. No fruit or yogurt. Very very disappointed. There was an event nearby so the hotel was booked to capacity and there were many families for swimming regionals, so understandably amenities were being used up, but a hotel like this should Have preparations for these times.

I am a Diamond Member staying 100s of nights in Hiltons. Housekeeping NEVER cleaned the room in 3 days we were here. Other members in our party requested the room be cleaned 3 separate times. The housekeeping manager was rude. I asked for a late check out on a Sunday evening and was denied (I checked with the Diamond Desk and they had more than 5 rooms like mine still available) and made me pay a 1/2 rate to get a late check out All week I stay in Hiltons and when I am with my family I should be able to get a late check out. Our swim team wont stay here again. This is a totally mismanaged property with a train running through the back of it twice in the middle of the night.

My biggest complaint is about breakfast. We stayed two nights Saturday and Sunday. First morning we came down for breakfast 45 minutes before closing and almost all food items were already out, we had to ask staff to replenish and were told that they were out of most of the food. Next morning it turned down that management switched breakfast time from 6:30 - 9:30 to 6 - 9 am without notifying anyone. There were a lot of guests in the breakfast area complaining about that and on top of that there are were out of most of the food items saying that the food truck didn't come. Also the room sink was clogged. Very disappointed and not staying there again! Rooms: The rooms were good except that our bathroom sink didn't drain. I asked for housekeeping 2 days in a row at 730a.m. nothing was done. I ran into housekeeping in the hallway one day at 430pm and got my trashed taken out but the next day nothing done again. After working I want to come back to a clean, restocked toiletries room with the bed re made.
