Palmer Chiropractic Center

I would like to thank Dr. Palmer for the treatment and care he has provided to help me with neck pain which he determined is the result of arthritis. I had been to my family physician to discuss the constant pain and major lack of mobility in my neck and my family physician recommended physical therapy (PT) and/or chiropractic care. I went to PT first for 2 months and after PT I started seeing Dr. Palmer for chiropractic care. I do believe the PT exercises improved my strength and that was helpful, but I did not get relief from the pain and had only minor improvement with neck mobility. After seeing Dr. Palmer for 6 weeks, I am gotten much relief from the pain and I am only experiencing minor pain on rare occasions. Dr. Palmer takes a holistic approach to determine the causes of the problem. I appreciated that he asked me questions and listened to my description of the problem to determine what might be causing my pain. I also appreciated that he explained why I was having the pain so that I would understand and I very much appreciated that he was honest about expected outcomes and the fact that while arthritis cannot be cured, we could try to slow it down and help me to have less pain. After one visit I did have less pain and I remember leaving the office with a feeling of hope that I was going to feel better. Ultimately after looking at all the things that were contributing to the pain, we changed the way I was doing one of my at home exercises; added a supplement for joint mobility; added neck traction that I am able to do at home; made changes to my workstation to keep my neck positioned correctly to not cause strain; and at Dr. Palmers recommendation and after discussing with my eye doctor, I purchased glasses with mid-range lenses for work to allow me to keep my head in a neutral position while working and avoid strain to my neck. All of these things have worked together to give me a great outcome. I can highly recommend Dr. Palmer. I love the fact that he takes the time to determine all the possible causes of a problem to then best determine how to help his patients. He has offices located in Lynchburg and Altavista, Virginia. The receptionist were very friendly in both the Lynchburg and Altavista offices and Dr. Palmer did a great job improving my condition. He explained what was going on and what treatment he would perform and what he hoped to accomplished. I would highly recommend giving him an opportunity to help others with their pain

I have been going to Dr. Palmer for YEARS; he always knows how to help me and get me where I need to be. If it wasn't for him in 2015, I would be in a worse condition. I trust him more than anyone I see for my back and overall health. As a PLUS, he is in Altavista and Lynchburg!

Dr. Palmer is amazing! Went into his office with hip and back pain. Left with no pain! Highly recommend...There is no other!!!
