Dr. Shivangi Vachhani, MD

Dr. Vachhani is an excellent and caring endocrinologist. Unfortunately, she is no longer practicing clinically in Leesburg, but is doing research downtown. She is missed.

We cant speak highly enough of Dr. Vachhani and her entire staff. She was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and had a great bedside manner. She explained things in a way that was clear and reassuring. Her staff was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. We felt lucky to get an appointment. Were from Roanoke and will gladly travel the 3.5 hours for continued care with Dr. Vachhani at this facility.

While knowledgeable, she didn't listen to me. She won't prescribe Armor Thyroid or any T3 acting meds. She's all about Synthroid and levoxytherine no matter what a patient says about past history with these meds and their side effects; in fact, she disputes that they have any side effects. I have gained 15 pounds in 6 months, feel worse than I did when I first saw her, and I will not be returning.

This office is very unprofessional. They gave me a survey about the office. I completed. The office and nurse were not polite or friendly at all. I said it on the paper. Thinking that it would help the office. The week of thanksgiving the phones were not being piked up. No I didnt call the day after thanksgiving. I left a few messages. I was on hold for 10 minutes each time. Left VM Rachel time. When I finally made a call and spoke to the office they didnt seemed concerned that I never got a called back or apology. I made my appointment. I few days after they called me to tell me that they were calling to reschedule the appointment that I canceled. I told them I never cancel any appointments. The woman put me on hold. She came back and told me that my husband had canceled my appointment. Excuse me? We never cancel my appointment. She call me back and said that my husband walked in and canceled my appointment so my appointment doesnt exist. I told them look I know you are just the messanger but this cant be right. Thank just called my husband to tell them the absurd called and he said there must be a confusion. The office manger called me back and insisted that my husband walked in and canceled my appointment. A no time they consider a mistake on their part. I told them I have an appointment on that date and I was showing up. They need to straighten their people up. I showed up tot he appointment as doctor Vacchani was asking me my regular questions she said. I thought your husband would be here Mrs. Keller. I said no he cant be here. He needed to drop my son off at school because I would be here. Then Dr. Vacchani said maybe thats why he canceled your other appointment. I looked at her and said. Are you serious! Are you kidding me. How dare you bringing it up this way without even apologizing on your office side for their mistakes. Dr. said I am trying to investigate. By acussing me that my husband cancel the appointment. You are not investigating you are accusing me. You never even consider to ask me my side of the story. I am tired of your office calling me and telling that my husband did something that he doesnt have the time to do. Walk into the office. Then my husband showed up after dropping off our son in school. I didnt think he would make it. The office was very unprofessional. At no time the management gave me an apology for their mistake of retaliation for giving my feedback. This is unprofessional and unethical. I am disgusted by these office. I cant belive someone has to go through this kind of experience at a Drs. office.
