Imperia has maintained my Maule and before that my Piper Cherokee over the last six years. They have been first rate in their service, they do it "by the book", no corners are cut! I have the upmost confidence that the safety of your airplane is their number one concern.

I,m a retired military and airline pilot and have serious standards for aircraft maintenance. My E-Series Bonanza has been maintained by Imperia Aviation since purchased in 2017. High quality maintenance, quick turnaround times and fair pricing are the norm. Troubleshooting is excellent and efficient. Imperia keeps excellent records and always goes the extra mile to ensure the customer is informed and satisfied with the work. Highly recommended.

Imperia Aviation seemed reasonable when I first met them, but having them service our plane turned out to be the worst decision I ever made. Stay away.

BUYER BEWARE: A $1600 annual turned into a nightmare on a PA28 costing over $5k and now adding lawyers and court costs. Please read this review carefully before letting this shop touch your airplane or logbooks. My opinion: UNPROFESSIONAL, NEGLIGENT, INCOMPETENT, UNTRUSTWORTHY, DISHONEST, & HIGHLY UNETHICAL WARNING: The basic annual was supposed to start in February. I got my plane back in August... He couldn't move the plane from my hangar to his on the same airfield because he said the battery was dead and that a new battery had to be ordered resulting in another 3-4 week delay. Instead of ordering a new battery, he installed an old one that he had ordered the previous year. The agreement was for the inspection and no additional maintenance or repairs beyond scope of the inspection without consent. However, he ignored the agreement and proceeded with $100's of extra disassembly/labor prior to contacting me. Agreement was to pay his invoice upon delivery. However, after 6 months he was still not finished and paperwork was still incomplete. The plane was kept in pieces for the entire flying season. Before finishing the work, the bill was back-dated by a few months and "Late Fees and Finance Charges" of nearly $400 were also added in addition to other mysterious charges. There was no opportunity to inspect his work. I had no choice but to pay prior to delivery if I wanted my plane back. After paying he refused to move the plane out of his hangar, even though he had several days notice. I had to go back to the airport 5 days later (2 hour drive) to check the plane and see what he had done. - I paid for a new Concorde battery However, I found out using the battery serial # that Imperia Aviation had installed an old, used battery instead of the new one. That battery was drained completely when plane was finally returned to me. - New interior was damaged - My tow bar was broken and not returned with the plane. I was not told. I'm not even sure how one can break a PA28 tow bar. - The plane was returned to me with a flat front tire. - I paid to have the main struts rebuilt (new seal kit install), but upon delivery the main struts were charged unevenly and front strut was 2" too low. - A spark plug was broken during the annual - I had to pay for the damages I am forever grateful and relieved that I had the foresight to provide electronic access to my logbooks instead of the actual physical paper logs. I can kick myself for not listening to other pilots who had told me horror stories about this shop. I am not the only airplane owner who has had a really bad experience with this shop. Check around. Do not believe anything that's said verbally, because the story will change as soon as they have your aircraft and then you are stuck. Verbal agreements weren't honored. Therefore: If you absolutely have to use this shop then do so AT OWN RISK: - Obtain references from other pilots (KPSK, KBCB) - Set the terms and come to an agreement beforehand - Have the agreement in writing and signed beforehand. - Have a witness there to sign it too. - Perform a pre-inspection inspection as best you can. Take good pictures of every possible thing beforehand. - Keep record of interactions and record audio if possible and if your state allows it. - Never provide physical paper logbooks. Provide electronic logbooks instead. I am still discovering problems after plane was services. It will now have to go through another inspection by a different qualified A&P because the work 'completed' cannot be trusted. Do not risk lives by flying a plane that was serviced by an untrustworthy A&P.
