Brought my 02 Civic EX manual transmission into whitmer's for a hole in my radiator. The radiator had a small hole that was spurting towards the engine therefore the engine burning off the liquid. I brought it into them to check it amongst get a timing belt replaced water pump oil pan gasket and a couple of other things fixed that it needed basically $1,000 worth of work including the radiator. I get my car back for them to tell me the mechanic said I had a blown head gasket which is totally outrageous I've had that car for 2 years it is not blowing smoke bubbling in the radiator when the cap is opened there is no milky stuff under the oil cap and the oil is not milky. Whitmer said they would not do any of the work which is the radiator timing belt water pump basically $1,000 worth of work unless I did the head gasket with everything bringing it to $2,200 they would not fix anything if I didn't do it All. Needless to say I went to another shop my head gasket was not blown it was tested which I knew it wasn't my car ran fine except for the bad radiator and then I did the basic maintenance because the car had 200,000 miles but ran great so I did the timing belt water pump and other things but I paid that shop $1,000 to fix it all.SO SORRY FOR WHITMERS NOT WANTING TO FIX ANYTHING UNLESS I DID IT ALL. WELL YOU LOST OUT ON 1000.WORTH OR WORK.! MAYBE THE MECHANICS NEED TO GO BACK TO ASE SCHOOL IF THEY ARE EVEN CERTIFIED THERE..... NEEDLESS TO SAY MY CAR IS NOW FIXED.... AND RUNNING PERFECTLY FINE NO BLOWN HEAD GASKET NO OVERHEATING NO SMOKE COMING OUT THE BACK OF THE CAR SO THANK YOU WHITMER'S FOR TRYING TO TELL ME I NEEDED AN EXTRA $1,000 WORTH OF WORK THAT WAS NOT NEEDED basical oil changes are fine or flat repair. Major work do your homework before ! 5/11/2022 car still running great w my 'blown head gasket" 7/29/2022 my honda w the "blown head gasket" still running perfect!! Imagine that whitmers !!... 6/6/2023 update on my "blown head gasket" CAR STILL RUNNING GREAT! LOVE UPDATING TO SHOW SHODDY WORK AND LIARS!! 01/12/2024 Just an update to let everybody know my Honda with the supposeed blown head gasket. It's still running better than ever with 215,000... The place that has been around forever that everybody "loves and trust". Turn down $2000 worth of routine maintenance. Because they insisted- I had a blown head gasket. And they would not do any of the work if they didn't get that fixed. Get that 2nd opinion people!!!

Absolutely the best customer service I have ever received. The heating system in my vehicle went out in the middle of snow storm. I informed them that I was only going to be in town for about 2 days, and asked them if they were able to help. They were able to immediately service my vehicle and get it back to me. I am extremely grateful for their hard work and dedication. I am from Northern Virginia and I would rather make the 2hr trip down here to get my vehicle fixed than get it done close to home. Exceptionally job. Thank you.

Have only been here twice but both times felt like a total rip off. The staff are certainly friendly, but the business as a whole does not strike me as trustworthy or competent. I went to them for my inspection a few years ago and they told me I needed work done that would cost around $700 in order to pass. I took my car to another mechanic further away, someone trusted by a family member, who said whatever Whitmer's claimed needed fixing was perfectly fine, and he passed me without a problem. Recently took my car in to get a flat tire fixed in the afternoon and they charged me $40 for apparently fixing it, but after only driving a few miles home and then not driving it the rest of the day, it was completely flat again by the morning. So I payed them money for nothing. The people are kind enough, but the work seems lousy and not worth the money.
