        The food was bland. The service was slow. The order was mixed up. They forgot 1 meal which turned the already 1.5 hr wait turn into a 3 hr wait. Won't be doing this again.

        Absolutely love love love love love love love love this place!!! Great customer service and amazing fulfilling food !!!!!!! I know they cooking with love !!!!!!!! Edit to add: I made this original review back in early 2022 after I had eaten there for over half a year consistently. Were now in early 2023 and I want to reinstate/reinforce/reaffirm this is still the BEST SOULFOOD RESTAURANT ON THIS SIDE OF THE WATER, Id argue in all of Hampton Roads but theres still a few soul food spots I havent tried on the other side of the water.
