We stayed at this park and Williamsburg half a dozen times each between August and November (we needed to stay in the area) and we were usually able to get a good site. Most sites are very spacious with trees in your yard area to give tou plenty of shade and areas to hang out outside. The people we met were very friendly whether it was other campers or the staff. The store has Hershey brand ice cream with constantly rotating flavors and very good quantity for the price. The bathroom by the sports field and tent area did not seem to be cleaned frequently or thoroughly, unfortunately. The toilets would have yellow buildup in the bowls for several days before they would be cleaned with a brush, and there was often a strong odor. There was always toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, so the bathroom was being stocked frequently, just not cleaned. There were nice open fields to walk the dogs as well as a trail along the lake that leads to a beach area you can swim at if the weather has been warm enough. The park and surrounding areas are in the country so the scenery is gorgeous, though it is a bit of a drive to get to any major stores. Overall a nice place to stay and we will be back next autumn!

Jessica was Extremely Unprofessional My experience at this campground was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. First of all, unlike most campgrounds, I did not receive any communication regarding check-in procedures. Typically, I would expect to receive an email or a phone call, but in this case, nothing was received. This lack of communication already raised some red flags. Concerned about the situation, my party decided to call the campground directly to inquire about the check-in process. Unfortunately, no one answered our call. We then reached out to the Thousand Trails customer service, who contacted the ranger station on our behalf. It was only then that we were informed that the ranger station would be available until 11:00 PM, which was not communicated to us earlier. This sudden revelation left us rushing to the campground, and due to our haste, we ran out of gas right in front of a gas station. We had to push our vehicle to the pump in order to refuel, which made us 17 minutes late for check-in. Upon arrival, we tried explaining the extenuating circumstances to the guard. However, she was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Despite informing her that I required electricity for my CPAP machine to ensure a good night's sleep, she showed no concern or empathy. Her lack of compassion was truly disappointing. Given the unprofessionalism exhibited by the campground staff, I am left with no choice but to escalate this matter to corporate and potentially seek legal advice. This entire experience has been nothing short of horrible. I would strongly advise potential campers to exercise caution when considering this campground. The lack of communication, unresponsive customer service, and rude behavior of the staff have left a lasting negative impression. It is my hope that management will take these concerns seriously and address them promptly to ensure a more pleasant experience for future visitors.
