My inclination is to write an incredibly long and detailed description of my experience with Kitty Boitnott and my subsequent life changes that came from her guidance. In short, what started out seemingly easy enough soon became a very deeply introspective analysis of myself, my life, what I really wanted, what was holding me back (turns out it was mostly me), and how to achieve it by working through those issues. Leaving my teaching career was like getting a divorce from a college sweetheart—so much promise and joy at the start, then reluctance to leave because of all the uncertainty and fears I had about starting over in my 40s. In a few weeks, I’ll be starting a master’s in Landscape Architecture and I just feel so good about everything. Thank you, Kitty.
