Hampton Inn Front Royal

In town for a funeral. Did not spend much time in the room. If they are still renovating when you stay there, ask for a renovated room. Pretty standard Hampton Inn breakfast. Rooms: In the middle of a renovation, ask for a renovated room. Safety: Dark parking lot. Walkability: Not. This is a just off the highway hotel. You can't t really walk anywhere. Food & drinks: Free breakfast was standard Hampton Inn.

The staff at the Hampton Inn were very, very friendly. The room is clean and very nice. The breakfast was fair. This would have been an awesome experience. Had the heater in the room worked correctly. Instead the heating unit blew cold air. I stay up later than my wife and do some journaling and I was freezing cold. The thermostat was set to 72 and had been at that setting for an hour. Still the unit blew cold air. I called the front desk and they told me to set it to as high as I could. During the night It got hot. I turned it off. In the morning I complained to the front desk. They were super kind asked if I wanted a discount Which I declined and said no I just want to have a warm room for the second night. She said that somebody was coming that would look at the room at 9 oclock. She also said they have been having trouble with the new units and that they blow all the time for humidity. She called me back, while I was hiking in in the park and said that a person had come and looked at the unit and it was in working order. She then said it is sometimes confusing how to set the unit to run it the correct temperature desired. She said the unit had been turned off, and that was the problem. That was not the problem. I had turned the unit off because of the cold air that was being blown. If they could fix these heating units to be more easily adjusted to desired temperatures, I would recommend this place highly. Since this was not the case, we decided not to spend our second night there and came home instead. I hope that Hampton Inn front Royal can figure out these heating units so that we can stay here here in the future. Rooms: Cold
