Nearby activities: The couple who run this, Lisa and Scott, are incredibly sweet, and the breakfast they make is amazing. I highly recommend the blueberry pancakes. It was so nice to get to meet Lisa and Scott, as well as the other hikers who came through the night we stayed. The house has so much history around it, and it's a very cute place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. Lisa and Scott are friendly and knowledgeable. Great options for breakfast. And lots of snacks available to munch on, when you stay in. Right next to the Appalachian trail and short drive to the Shenandoah trails.

Really nice place to stay. Very close proximity to Shennendoah National Park and the Appalachian Trail trailhead. Very through hiker friendly. There are a few different rooms on each level and I stayed at the one on the ground floor level by the front door. We were given a small tour of everything when we checked in, asked what time we liked our breakfast and what we would like for breakfast, and led to the room where it was very beautifully decorated and had the key in the door. They have lights and signs at the entrance from the highway so it's easier to see as you travel to there. The building was picturesque, and there's a lot of parking out front. The room had heating, a fan, extra blankets, an attached bathroom, and lots of storage. There were all sorts of resources for hiking, exploring local restaurants or places, and the hosts were an incredible source of information and were so kind. They even gave us cheese when we left!

Wonderful breakfast and excellent hospitality in an historic home near Shenandoah Natl park. Rooms: Comfortable beds and modern facilities.
