    It's a pretty small clinic, but it doesn't feel overcrowded, and I have had very good experiences with the doctors, nurses, and lab techs. Getting an actual appointment, however, can take a month or longer (probably because of its size). ALWAYS remember to schedule your next appointment at the checkout window BEFORE you leave!!!

    The VA should be ashamed for how this location is ran. Scheduling appointments for this location is a joke and the customer service is nonexistent. Showed up and checked in on the kiosk for bloodwork as soon as they opened (0700), and after waiting for 20 minutes I finally asked the receptionist if they were even open since no one greeted me while I was waiting in the waiting area. The receptionist told me to check in at the kiosk. I explained to her that I already did in which she then told me to just have a seat. Finally after waiting another 5 minutes I left since this was wasting my time and I had to get to work. Later that same day I showed up for my actual appointment with the doctor and checked in again. This time a different lady from before actually greeted me and asked for my insurance card. She made a copy, handed it back to me, and asked me to have a seat and that the nurse would be right with me. Almost an hour later I went back up to the counter to ask what's going on. A different receptionist looked me up and said that my appointment was canceled as the doctor has been out all week due to sickness! He said they left a voice mail inbox but I have nothing in my voice mail informing me of a cancelation. The only thing I had was a voicemail from them requesting that I come in early for lab work. I refuse to step foot in that place ever again. Save your time and mental health and proceed to another location. This isn't how anyone, let alone vets, should be treated.

    The costumer service isn't great. You have to keep calling them in order to schedule an appointment. When attempting to schedule one, they place a request to receive a call back within 24- 48 hours and I didn't receive one until the following week (7 days). I am now at three weeks trying to schedule an appointment and nothing. I attempted to call back and then was hung up on. I don't understand why it is so hard to schedule an appointment. At this point, driving to Richmond doesn't sound too bad.

    This place is confusing. I called and tried to transfer VA clinics they said I need to do it in person or FAX them my PHI... The main lobby is just an elevator with no receptionists, if you ask people in other parts of the building where do I go to transfer from my old VA clinic to here they say online or I don't know.

    The new clinic is clean and very nice; however, the customer service leaves much to be desired. I had called and asked to have my pcm put in a refill for a prescription. I received a phone call three weeks later basically demanding to set an appointment on a certain day and time within a few days without even asking if that would work. I told the person I was on a business meeting and would have to call her back and she just kept talking over me. I finally told her I had to go and would call her back to schedule. I called back right after my meeting (within 20 minutes) and spoke to someone else who told me that an appointment had been made for me without my knowledge or permission and then when I told her that would not work she told me that the appointment options given by the previous person (in person, telephonic, video) were not available. I was finally able to get her to set me an appointment that actually worked for my schedule (as they wanted it within a week of them calling me which is ridiculous if you have to give notice to an employer). I was then told I would have to get lab work done prior to my appointment. I asked what time the lab opened and was told 0630. I specifically confirmed this twice and told her that I had to be at work at my new job by 0730. I went to the new location this morning and was told the lab does not open until 0700. How frustrating!!! Those making appointments and providing customer service really need to know the hours for the location they are making appointments for. There was an elderly man that came in after me and the person at the desk was rude in how she spoke to him as well. The only part of the visit that did not disappoint was the phlebotomist who was absolutely fantastic!!
