Everything went very smoothly. I could not have asked for a nicer representative. She made sure everything went as planned during the worst couple days of my life! She stayed close by until everyone was gone. She was go great! She was very comforting to me.

My husband and I have experienced by far, the WORST customer service in the history of every business weve ever worked with at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Giving them 1 star is far too much, in my opinion. In the middle of grieving the fact that we had to find a local cemetery to bury our beloved dog (whom was like a child to us) is when we first had to started dealing with Sunset. Back in March of 2013, we had yet not decided whether or not cremation was something we wanted, so thus I began my search for a local cemetery. I chose Sunset because they were one of the only in the area (at least at the time) who had a section of the cemetery devoted to animals, hence the reason they were selected. Since March of 2013, weve since purchased additional plots in preparation of losing our other dogs and weve been forced to continue to deal with them as others have passed on. April of 2014 is when things really started to become awful with Sunset Memorial. We lost our sweet boy J and we wanted Js marker, granite slab, and vase to match Ds (our first dog that we had buried there) exactly. This was incredibly important to us for a few reasons: 1) We dont have kids, our dogs are our children, 2) Memorializing them with matching markers was crucial for us and we made this VERY clear, and 3) We wanted all of our babies to be together and a safe space we could visit to pay tribute to them. Sunsets main office was made very aware of the importance this and they always claim to understand. Long story short, they messed up Js marker and we had to have it redone THREE TIMES over the span of a year or so. Not only is this ridiculously frustrating and far too long, it was a time of tremendous grief for us. We were constantly having to be reminded of not only their total lack of respect and incompetence, but more importantly, we were forced to have to be reminded of his death and burying him rather than being able to cope with our feelings of loss. It took far too long to get his marker right and the process to do so was so agonizingly frustrating; my husband and I both were going back from feelings of anger and irritation to feeling like we were on some prank show and it was all a sick joke. The bottom line = this was a horrible and hair-pulling experience for us. ******** character limit exceeded. CONT'D REVIEW ON MY HUSBAND ADAM ROBERTSON'S REVIEW *********

...continued Since Js loss, we also lost our dog A in November of 2017 and reluctantly, we started this same process over again and delayed it as much as possible because of our previous frustrations with Sunset. We ordered her marker in late October 2018, almost a YEAR later. When we finally placed the order for her marker, we found that Sunset had changed management since J and D were buried, so I had a glimmer of hope that the new management would be better than the original. Somehow... to our surprise, they managed to keep up to par with the former employees. I am now writing this on August 8, 2019 TEN MONTHS after we ordered her marker. I bet you can imagine the result yep, it is STILL incorrect. Not only was the original wrong marker WEEKS late (they claimed 6-8 weeks and it took more like 10 or 12 to get the original, and thats with me calling and badgering them about it several times). But even since the original marker was created and requested to be redone, its still wrong and they still wont call us back. Granted, I do NOT spend every day of every week contacting them this past ten months (but should I have to?!) as it would drain my emotions in full. But we have gone in there physically and notified them countless times of our frustrations, have blown up their phones throughout 2018 and this year, and each time they are incredibly calm and seemingly understand and claim to follow up/call us back immediately as they will personally follow up themselves since it is unacceptable, claim email us proof of whatever they have laid down all of these things are empty promises. Nothing ever changes as soon as we step out of their door or hang up the phone with them. Ive only had ONE employee there (a fairly young girl, unsure of her name) call me back when she claimed she will, and the others never have. Yet we are still waiting on her marker to match theirs, which shouldnt be a difficult task but somehow it seems like an impossible request to receive. I am appalled at how inconsiderate and incapable they are with dealing with peoples note also PAYING customers feelings. If I didnt feel it would be completely disrespectful and traumatizing to our deceased babies to dig their caskets up and bury them elsewhere, I would have LONG ago. I cant help but think that this level of disrespect is simply because they are non-human animals. I imagine that if humans were treated this way, there would have been a lawsuit long ago. My husband and I are both are exhausted and drained with dealing with this incompetent and disrespectful company. We just want our voices to be heard and for this wrong to be made right. Stonemor Partners, you really need to make some huge changes here at Sunset Memorial Gardens. This has been the worst customer service experience we have ever endured in our entire lives.

We recently lost my father in law and on the day of the service .. the staff at Sunset set up a table at back of service the purpose was to allow folks to leave their name and address for bookmarks of obits to be made and sent to them. What they really wanted was to add to marketing list and it took several requests from family to finally get the bookmark. It felt odd to have these non friends or family hanging out during the service. Then after several weeks passed the time the Veteran Marker was due we were contacted as the staff had had us sign the incorrect document to receive the marker. He died in February and it is July. Still no marker has been placed. And to top all of this off. Several family members have received courtesy cards to inform us where he is laid to rest. Problem was the two times we have received this the cemetery name and location were INCORRECT! Crazy, right. Too bad there just arent more options.
