HORRIBLE EXOTIC VET!! DONT COME HERE. I went to the Spotsylvania/Fred location this past March 22nd, 2024 and was super disappointed with the service I was given. I called around asking about exotic vet exam pricing and I chose the cheapest in the area, WORST MISTAKE. The woman who welcomed us in was kind and we were given an exam room shortly after entering the building. The first woman listened to our explanation on our animal and gave us a form to fill out (basic vet stuff). Our visit went downhill once the actual Veterinarian came in, Dr. Chrisawn looked at our bearded dragon and gave him a physical by stretching all of his limbs and flipping him on his back. Our bearded dragon wasnt using his front right arm and we had no recollection of it being a broken arm or strain, so according to his short physical and barely looking at the paper I wrote all of my bearded dragons information on, Dr. Chrisawn determined it was a neurological condition, and gave us a dewormer and another random medication (a sulfa drug?) He did NOT try to offer an xray or any other sort of treatment, (the next morning they called me inquiring about my bearded dragon and I asked if they had an xray machine- and they do). He had mentioned to us that at that location they did not have a CT machine and therefore wouldnt be able to do much that day, but he still did not try to offer any other option or treatment, just that the bearded dragon is not all the way there mentally (when he had been walking perfectly fine prior). I took it upon myself to just go to another vet because this location is a waste of money.
