Do not go if you are in a wheelchair or use other mobility aids. Store is inaccessible for wheelchairs, this is not obvious from the outside. There is s small Showroom on first floor, but larger selection is up several stairs and there is no lift. Needless to say I was unable to shop there.

First of all, this is a beautiful store with so many varieties of really tasteful tile and other material for your home.  Second, our salesman, Rod, is a real gentleman.  He is knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely pleasant to deal with.  We initially purchased some tile for our bathroom shower floor, but returned when we decided to change the color.  In the course of our conversation, Rod suggested that given our needs we really didn't need new tile, just needed to professional clean our existing tile and caulk.  He volunteered to refund our money and followed up.  How many sales men do you encounter that would do something kind like that?  Later, we determined that we needed new tile after all and ordered it again from Rod.  We also are in the process of selecting tile for our kitchen counter and Rod has been so helpful, allowing us to take home sample sheets and obtaining other samples from the manufacturer to help us decide.  In all, we have had a great experience and couldn't recommend Rod and another salesman at the Falls Church location whose name I do not know more highly.

I had a great experience when I purchased tile from Ideal in 2011, but was convinced by me designer to use a different tile source during our recent renovation.   Unfortunately, after everything was selected I was informed the shower tile was no longer available.  I set out to find a replacement for my very specific wood-look tile and immediately went to Ideal.  They have a HUGE selection of tile - even very contemporary and modern looks.  Rod was amazing.  He checked on availability of several products for me and I never felt pressured to purchase anything.  He even figured out that one of my choices was not suitable for my wall application.  In the end, I was not able to find the taupey-cherry-blond tile I was looking for, but I will definitely consider Ideal first for my next project.
