        We were so happy to find an affordable, clean hotel in a safe area. We originally got off the exit in Roanoke Rapids. Read the hotel reviews and got back on the highway to Emporia. The staff was friendly, the room clean, beds comfy and parking was right in front of our door. Breakfast was good too.

        One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. My girlfriend and I were driving back home and needed a place to crash at 11pm at night. The service desk was okay but everything went downhill once we entered the room. The floor was dirty and sticky in some spots. The room door and bathroom were spotty and nasty. My girlfriend pulled hair out of the towel when she went to use it. The beds were itchy and one of the beds had a stain on the comforter and both the boards in the bottom looked nasty. It was one of the most unpleasant hotel rooms I've been in but we were tired and although I asked if she wanted to go somewhere else we stuck it out. We were so grossed out that we didn't even want to try the breakfast, we left as soon as we woke up. Rooms: Nasty and unclean.
