        Tried cancelling a reservation after only two hours and they would not cancel. I am a diamond member and this has never happened to me before.

        Hotel is OK. Staff is friendly for the most part. However, nothing about this hotel is worth the ridiculous jacked up rate we were charged due to it being a VA Tech football weekend. I made my reservation a month before my stay and the only rate available was non-refundable. So we were stuck paying regardless of weather or sickness or emergencies. Then my room was canceled with no notice or explanation. I managed to rebook. Room itself was very basic. No closet (you hang your clothes on a pipe over the microwave.) No drawers. No cups provided for bathroom. Room was generally clean, except for the hair in the shower. (Yuck) Breakfast was decent. There was an employee who kept loudly asking everyone how they were enjoying their breakfast. If you didnt answer her (I was trying to make a phone call) she got right up in your face and demanded to know how you were enjoying your breakfast.

        Great room and good location, but be careful the cancellation policy appears to be 30 days out. Will likely not stay here again because of that.
