Dr. Miller Lewis, DDS

Dr. Lewis misdiagnosed my brother who had 6 visits with him and HAD ORAL CANCER.after my brother sought out a different dentist she told him to go to the hospital immediately. The next morning an oral surgeon came in and told him he was sure Russell had Stage 4 oral cancer. After he biopsied him it was ORAL CANCER. My brother had to travel back-and-forth from Christiansburg to VCU Hospital in Richmond for several years where they took half his face off and eventually he died. I wrote a very long letter (with documentation that Dr. Lewis had dysfunctional X-Ray machine) .to the American Dental Association and they investigated nine months later they gave Dr.Lewis consequences AND the court records showed other complaints that the court punished him for. After my brother went to the second dentist and after he had been denied pain medication to adequately help him on six individual visits with Dr. Lewis I got an attorney and my brother was refunded $1,000 (by Dr. Lewis) he had paid for visits., his website still said he does cancer screeningswhat a violation of the publics trust.

There should be a rating of -100! My poor brother went to this dentist 6 times....his website said he conducted oral screenings for cancer. My brother had Stage 4 ORAL CANCER!!!! He was in agony. Lewis kept telling him he needed teeth pulled and other crazy nonsense! I reported Lewis to the Board of Dentistry in Richmond VA. A 9 month investigation ensued. Turns out he had been reprimanded and fined before. Its heinous what this doctor did. After trusting him 6 times my brother went to a different dentist who sent him to the hospital immediately! He has had 14 surgeries! Dr. Lewis owes my brother thousands of dollars in pain and suffering that he inflicted on him!

Everyone in the office is very friendly. Cleanings are done in a timely manner. Doctor Lewis is a good dentist but he is standoffish. I would recommend this office. They don't push x-rays and partner with patients when it comes to oral health!
