None of the machines worked and no one was able to help us.

Although they have several self-serve kiosks for editing and printing pictures for yourself, the machines are frequently not working. Further adding to the frustration of using the photo shop, there is seldom anyone at the desk to help you. When this happens the staff from the Electronics Department covers the Photo shop. Unfortunately, they are only vaguely aware of what the Photo Shop is for and so their "help" is not surprisingly limited.
If you want prints I suggest Shutterfly. If you really need them right now then I would go Walgreen's or Rite Aid.
