        Jim's portrait photography is excellent. He is not just a portrait photographer. He has a sense about the people and animals he shoots, there's soul there... and he is just a good guy all the way around.

        Jim and his wife are very personable and the quality of the studio and the prints are exceptional. The staff is willing to work with you and takes time to make sure you are pleased with your prints. However, (and welcome to Charlottesville), you will pay a premium for his service. That being said, I'm not so sure that it isn't within the realm of other photographers/studios within the area. In summary, I like that they are friendly, however for me when I walk away, I don't remember how friendly they were, I remember how much they took advantage of me financially.
