Aspen Dental - Charlottesville, VA

I wanted to update my previous review (see below) in order to reflect the positive steps taken by Aspen Dental team. After experiencing some terrible services during my visit to their Charlottesville office, I reached out to express my dissatisfaction. They responded to my concerns and took proactive measures to resolve the issue. They addressed the balance on my account and assured me that they are actively working to improve customer satisfaction. Hence, I have updated my review from 1- to 3-stars in order to be fair. DO NOT waste your precious time and money here, thats my personal and honest advice. I wish I could give no star or minus for this place. Its extremely pointless and rubbish to schedule and confirm your appointment since this place has no idea what that means. The experience Ive had has been beyond frustrating and such a waste of time! Thanks for demonstrating how NOT to run a good business!

If I could give more stars I would. I was treated like a queen from the minute I walked in. I am not good with names but from the check in at the front desk to the treatment by my dentist I could not be happier. First time in my life I am looking forward to going back to the dentist. Keep up the good work Aspen dental.

So it started when I made an online appointment for a cleaning and checkup as I havent been to the dentist in years. I went in for the appointment for the assistant to struggle to get X-rays which it was pretty clear she didnt know the proper way cause she kept saying that didnt work lets try this I ended up holding the X-ray thing with my hand. Then the dr came in checked my teeth and said I needed 3 fillings and a cleaning which Id have to make an appointment for because the hygienist wasnt there on Fridays (wasted trip #1). I reluctantly made the appointment and decided to give them a chance. Well 2 appointment rolled around and like others have said they told me I had gingivitis so I needed a deep cleaning, they did that and moved me to another room for the fillings. Well the dr came in numbed me drilled the tooth out then said hold tight Ill be back in one minute 45 minutes later while I had the metal thing clamped to my tooth still he came back in and asked how I was feeling. At this point obviously I was pretty fed up but wasnt much I could do. I had to go back the next day to have the filling ground down because it was way to high. (Wasted trip #2) I had one more filling I needed done and a polishing they claimed I needed so since I was already this far I was stupid enough to try again. I set the appointment up for 9am. That morning rolled around and I walked in at 8:45 for them to tell me that my polishing was at 8 and the dr wanted me to have that done before the filling so Id have to reschedule (wasted trip #3). Oh and to top it off I now need a root canal on the one filling they did because apparently they dont know the proper procedures. Needless to say Id give them no stars if possible and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

UNBELIEVEABLE! I waited months for this store to open and when it did I immediately made an appointment for new dentures. On day of appt I received a call as I was on my way there telling me they were holding a meeting I would have to schedule for an hour later or another day. Needless to say I was upset. I decided to keep my appt. BIG MISTAKE! I had received brochures stating friendly, warm, atmosphere and they were looking forward to my visit. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Receptionist never acknowledged me I had to stand at counter and clear my throat to get her attention as it sounded like she was speaking with a boyfriend. No one was smiling, there was no warm welcome, there was no friendly atmosphere. The worst dental visit EVER! After an hour wait and five other people walking in and being called back I complained and was called back ONLY to sit in an unlit hallway in the back. I walked out and told front desk NO I would go someplace else. Oh, bathroom was dirty and no tissue. We are from Florida and experience there for my husband's dentures was the best ever!
