        If only everyone knew what the Westfields Marriott used to be; what a sad day... To preface I have not been back in probably 20 years (and I know a lot has happened in that time), but my memory of the hotel revolved around a classic charm and extreme attention to detail. Now, it's just a dated looking Marriott. We returned this weekend to celebrate a birthday and hoped to share in a bit of family nostalgia. The once gorgeous Sunday brunch has been minimized to a sad and understaffed restaurant where you get bagels from a clear plastic bin and warm them with a single residential toaster. Eggs, bacon, and potatoes are essentially trough feeding where the masses pick at food product that started as powder. WHAT HAPPENED? I will never forget walking into the ballroom with tables of food and personal preparation that felt appropriate for how special Westfields used to be. Now it's just another stop for transient business folk and hungover wedding gowers as they say farewell to a non-memorable hotel experience.
