Should always be a bit weary when an office is able to take you right away for an appointment and everywhere else around is booked until a month away.
I arrived at 8 am for my appointment as a new patient but apparently the front desk was running late and was not in yet so one of the dental assistants took me right over. I liked that the main dentist was able to do the check while the assistant took over polishing but no cleaning with a brush and polishing went by very quickly from what I'm used to. When asked for fluoride being an additional $25, I expected treatment in the mouth with a brush but was handed a cup to gargle for 30 seconds and spit out. Never happened for me at a dental office before.
All said, everything took 30 minutes and I'm used to 45 minutes to an hour forward general checkup and cleaning. Stopped by the front desk on the way out and there was someone there, asked if she needed anything and she said no. I started to drive out then got a call about needing to complete paperwork for a new patient. Also the head of the front desk was still not there so will have to pay over the phone.
Given my 25+ years of dentist visits, this seemed the most unorganized and lackluster with checkup and cleaning.

Dr. Fontes cared for my child and did a great job and I would like to thank Julia for all the attention she gave us. I highly recommend to all moms.

Me and my children have been coming here for years! I travel about 40-45 mins depending on traffic because I don't want to go anywhere else! EVERYTIME me or the kids have an appointment, any of the dental staff that work with us are always truly amazing!! They have all been extremely friendly, gentle, so empathetic, and very sweet! I find it incredible that we can go there and not have the same dental staff work with us everytime, but they ALL share the same kindness and professionalism. Not to mention, I LOVE the cultural atmosphere there!!! It's beautiful to see people of all different ethnicities and I love to see it!!
Me being 33, I'm a big baby and I'll tell you I use to have a dentist who would get mad at me, throw fits, and even one time refused to do the work I needed done and shipped me off to another place because I was so uneasy about a procedure I needed done.....but at Chantilly Dental they are always so patient with me, and honestly treat me like a baby (in a good way)!! They always make me feel extremely comfortable, wait til I'm ready, and often check in to make sure I'm doing ok with every little step they take.
My daughter sees the orthodontist there as well, and I love how straight forward he is, as well as still being super professional and kind! My daughter of course is a teenager and hadn't been wearing her rubber bands as told, and although she constantly forgets, he never gets an attitude and just reminds her that of course if she doesn't do her part, then she could possibly have to have jaw surgery in the future!! It's to a point where she finally started wearing them, and can't wait to tell him how well she's been doing!! She said she's low key scared of him lol (not literally, but enough to make sure her butt started doing what she needed to do), because she wouldn't listen to me, so i'd always ask him to enforce it with her at every appointment and he kindly did so!!
I'm a single mom and have no family here in NOVA, so I do everything by myself. I tend to run late alot, and am always so embarrassed/overwhelmed or barely making it on time to an appointment with school and work....but I have got to say, for the number of times we have been late, they have never turned me or my children away and try to always make sure they can still see us even if we have to wait a little longer, because of other appointments that were there on time and they still treat us with the same respect as they do when we are on time.
I also have never had any issues with the front desk staff either......they are always nice and give me accurate information, and are professional both in person and via text message when they reach out for appointment reminders.
As embarrassed as I may be for either being late, or being a big baby during an appointment, or maybe because I have a cavity, they never belittle me or make me feel any less! Even if they are mad or upset for me being late often, I would NEVER know and that's how you provide exceptional patient services!!!! Also, my children love it there too! They always talk about their great experiences everytime we leave and talk about how sweet and gentle everyone was!
Thank you Chantilly Dental Center for taking such good care of me and my babies and providing EXCEPTIONAL patient services!!

About 2 years ago I wanted to have a procedure done and before I arrived I confirmed that my insurance was accepted. At this practice I was shown a number that was less than half of what I ended up getting billed for later. The letter was a collections letter. I never received one phone call or one pleasant or professional communication. It was simply your insurance is paid. Its fair. Share your responsible for this. Problem I have with this is that never in the office? Was this mentioned as being a possibility? So basically it's a bait and switch. I advise that you put the final cost in writing and make them sign that they will not change it because they're clearly hungry for patients. They're just getting started and the number of one star i've used I see tells me that this business is going to be around for very long. I reached out to the owner who wanted to talk to me about it and he hung up on me.
Probably the worst thing you can do to a customer ever.
